Barnyard Field trips
Harbes Barnyard Adventure is a popular field trip destination for schools from across Long Island and the five boroughs. A day on the farm includes lots of fun and educational activities for preschoolers to high schoolers. Your class will get to meet farm animals like goats, sheep, bunnies, and chickens, they’ll take a musical hayride tour of our 100-acre working farm, they’ll enjoy an entertaining pig race, and they’ll have free time to play and discover!

*NOTE: Field trip groups are permitted to bring their own lunches. We also have concession foods available at our farmstand.

how to book
- A field trip reservation form will be sent when you complete and send the form below.
- We require a non-refundable $100 deposit with your completed reservation form to book your trip. A field trip is officially booked after we receive a completed reservation form AND a deposit.
- All groups must reach a $200 minimum flat fee to book a trip (15 or more students). A business license (or similar documentation) is required from schools to receive the field trip rate and an affidavit (or similar documentation) is required from home schools. Documentation must be received before the field trip date.
Additional Information
- Additional family members including Adult/Parent Chaperones may pay separately upon arrival.
- We reopen for the season Mother’s Day weekend of 2023 (Sat, May 13th).
- Field trips are only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Weekday holidays are not included (Memorial Day, July 3rd & 4th, Labor Day, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Columbus Day).
- Groups should arrive at 9:45 am for their trip unless other arrangements are made in advance.
- All activities are outdoors. In the event of rain, trips will be rescheduled for a raindate. A raindate should be provided when booking the trip.
