Country Fun for Everyone!

Harbes Barnyard Adventure is the paid admission area of Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck. We have 8 acres (the same as 6 football fields put together!) for visitors to explore. At this family-friendly attraction, you’ll discover hands-on learning experiences including interactions with farm animals and a chick observatory. There are also fun and games for all ages such as our Gnome Hedge Maze, Jumbo Jumpers Bounce Pillows, trike track, sports zone, playgrounds, and so much more. We offer pig races and musical hayride tours on weekends, holidays, and summer Fridays.

NEW for 2026! We’re excited to introduce the Harbes Harvest Express! Experience Harbes Farm like you never have before on a trackless train that will take you on a scenic tour around our 100-acre farm!

Depending on the season, the train’s route will give you an up-close look at the farm’s famous crops—from stunning mid-summer sunflower fields and fields of super sweet corn, to the autumn pumpkin patches.

The Harvest Express runs on weekends and is included in Weekend & Holiday Combo Admission.

We’re thrilled to introduce the latest additions to Harbes Barnyard Adventure—two adorable mini Highland cows!

We recently held a naming contest, and we’re excited to share that the winning names are Mocha and Maisie! With their fluffy coats, sweet personalities, and irresistibly cute faces, these little charmers are sure to steal your heart.

Come say hello to our newest furry friends, now on display daily in the Barnyard. Whether you’re snapping the perfect photo or simply stopping by to admire their cuteness, Mocha and Maisie are here to make your day a little brighter.

Fight the enemies of the apple!

The Apple has many enemies sworn to his destruction! It's your mission to use your Apple Blaster to defeat these sinister super villains! Stop The Aphid, The Stink Bug, The Caterpillar, The Codling Moth, The Apple Maggot, and the fiendish Mr. Fungus from destroying our hero. The whole family will love this exciting new addition to the Barnyard Adventure!

Harbes Barnyard Adventure is a full day of fun for the whole family! Here are some of the many attractions included in your Barnyard admission.

JUMBO JUMPERS

Jump and play on our Jumbo Jumpers bounce pillows! Open every day! (Not open in wet weather.)

Our exciting new Bubble Tower is an interactive experience for kids of all ages. Have an amazing time making your own colossal bubbles!

Sunflower Fields

As part of our all-new Summer Sunflower Festival, we will have our beautiful sunflower fields open to the public. They will make the perfect backdrop for breathtaking selfies.

GOAT MOUNTAIN SLIDES

Climb to the top of Goat Mountain and slide down our HUGE slides. Kids and parents alike will enjoy conquering these super slides!

A-Maize-ing COURSE

Learn about corn around the world and discover some fun corn trivia as you navigate Harbes A-MAIZE-ing Course! There are 12 challenging elements to enjoy. NOTE: Children must be 41" or taller to go on this attraction.

FARM ANIMALS

What’s a Barnyard without farm animals? Our animals include goats, sheep, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, ducks, and bunnies. Don’t miss the “Three Little Pigs” houses and, of course, everyone loves the baby animals, too!

GNOME HEDGE MAZE

Challenge your maze questing wits in our Gnome-themed Hedge Maze! Did you know farmers considered gnomes to be good luck charms? They believed that gnomes would bring them a plentiful harvest and protect their flocks from thieves, pests, and other dilemmas. Will you have good luck and be the first to find all the gnomes?

WOODLAND ADVENTURE PLAYGROUNDS

Kids will love our huge playgrounds! Join wilderness creatures such as squirrels, bunnies, beavers, chipmunks, and more. There’s lots to climb, bridges to cross, fun slides, and swings too! We have playgrounds for ages 2-5 and 5-12.

BUNNYVILLE

A tiny bunny village! The bunnies have a “hare cuts” barbershop, ice cream parlor, movie theater, little red schoolhouse, and even their own "iHop" restaurant!

CHICK OBSERVATORY

Learn the life cycle of chickens at all stages of life at our Chick Observatory.

SPORTS ZONE

The whole family can enjoy our Sports Zone with football, baseball, and basketball tossing games!

FARMER’S FOOSBALL

Gather your friends and family and have a rousing game of Farmer’s Foosball!

LIL’ FARMERS PLAYLAND

Ideal for your littlest ones! There’s a giant sandbox, little kids trike track, playhouses, water table, and a little kids duck race game.

Mr. Vegetable Head Characters

Kids will have loads of fun dressing up our Mr. Vegetable Head Characters. They can add funny mouths, eyes, hats, and other silly accessories to make their own special creation. Located in Lil' Farmers Playland in the Barnyard.

MUSICAL CHICKEN SHOW

You’ll be entertained by our animatronic Chicken Show! Sit back and let these musical chickens, roosters, and fox delight you with their fun-filled show. Shows run all day.

SPIDER WEB CLIMBER

Kids will have a great time climbing on our spider web climber!

GIANT SANDBOXES

The Barnyard has two giant sandboxes to keep kids occupied for hours!

PRETEND MILKING COW

The kids will love pretending that they are milking our wooden Holstein cow! Or should we say “Harbes-stein” cow?

GOAT BRIDGE

Watch our pygmy goats make their way from one pen to the other using their own goat bridge! Hoist up goat feed so they can snack as they cross the bridge.

Harbes Harvest Express

On weekends, holidays, and summer Fridays you can take a relaxing trackless train tour of our 100-acre Mattituck farm. The train runs hourly starting at 11 am. The last train departs one hour before closing. The train will stop at our sunflower fields, offering U-pick sunflowers and incredible photo opportunities!

Pig Races

On weekends, holidays, and summer Fridays enjoy a thrilling Pig Race! Who will you pick – Betty Blue, Ruby Red, Gomer Green, Yanni Yellow, or Penelope Purple? Times are 11:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 5:30 pm.
